Our Blitz is Working

And how to get your face on the Wall of Volunteers.

If you stepped out in Camberwell last Saturday, you would have seen dozens of teal t-shirts and hundreds of teal tote bags around its streets. We set out to send a message to the Liberal Party that we will fight to keep Kooyong Independent -- and we did just that.

Over the course of the morning, we had 70 volunteers on the streets of Camberwell having conversations with locals, distributing flyers and handing out hundreds of teal tote bags. Safe to say, the response from locals was incredible!

And on top of that, all of our indicators tell us that our recent Beanie Teams Blitz has been effective in getting the message out to the new parts of Kooyong.

It was an incredible day, and one that broadcast the energy of this campaign. But we know it's going to take a lot more than one day to win this election.

Soon, we'll re-start some of our favourite campaign activities like Doorknocking and Phonebanking, but for now we're focussed on getting volunteers out on the street and covering the electorate in teal.

Can you sign up to some Beanie Teams over the next few weeks to keep our momentum rolling?

Upcoming Flyer Teams

We're also on the hunt for new Beanie Team leaders! If this is something you might be interested in, or just want to find out more about, please head to this page and I'll give you a call in the next few days.

Tonight's Pizza Night!

Tonight, we'll be talking about the month that has been, updates from our campaign and what to expect in the coming months at our Pizza Night at the Auburn Bowls Club, from 6:30-8pm.

As I said in my last email, we've had lots of new volunteers sign up recently, so it would be great to welcome them with open arms.

The Great Wall of Volunteers

As we prepare to enter the Election Period here in Kooyong, we want to decorate our Campaign Office with the faces of our wonderful volunteers. One of the best parts of the last campaign was the hundreds of new friendships we made. Sometimes a photo and surname can be a help in remembering who’s who of all those Peters, Davids, Cathies and Annes.

Introducing: the (soon-to-be-legendary) Great Wall of Volunteers. Fill out this form and we'll print out your photo and begin covering the wall of our campaign HQ, once we get the keys.

Tell us a bit about yourself and upload a photo you love (bonus points if you're wearing teal!) and you'll be one of the many smiling faces welcoming folks into our Campaign HQ.
