At my next town I’ll be reporting back to the Kooyong community on the results of the Cost-Of-Living Community Survey. It was completed by more than 4,500 constituents and I’d like to thank every person who shared their cost-of-living ideas and concerns with me.
As an Independent, I listen to my community and speak my mind on what matters to us the most. That’s how politics should work.
I’ll also be discussing the May Budget and leaving plenty of time for your questions.
The Town Hall will take place at 6pm and you can register to attend in person or view the livestream here.
Many of you expressed concerns in the survey regarding paying energy bills, rising costs of groceries and other financial pressures. That’s why I am hosting Kooyong’s first ever ‘Bring Your Bill’ drop-in session, putting banking, energy, water and other services in the same room for you to ask questions about your bills.
So if you are you struggling to pay a bill, seeking support on banking, finances and insurance or want to know how to avoid or deal with scams, I invite you to drop in anytime between 4:30-6:00pm. If you want to stay on for the Town Hall at 6pm, please reserve a seat here.
Bring your bills and your questions. We have brought together experts from service organisations to help you understand what can be done and more!
Organisations on the day include Camcare, Boroondara Community Outreach, The Salvation Army Camberwell, Energy and Water Ombudsman, Community Information & Support Victoria (CISVic), Services Australia, Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, Yarra Valley Water and City of Boroondara.
