Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way we live, work, learn and connect. Join Dr Monique Ryan MP and Professor Jeannie Marie Paterson for a timely conversation about what these changes mean for the people of Kooyong.
As AI becomes an increasingly visible part of everyday life, many people are asking important questions. How will it affect our jobs and schools? What opportunities could it create in healthcare and research? How can we ensure it is used safely, fairly and in the public interest?
Jeannie Marie Paterson is a Professor of Law and the Director of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Ethics in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne (CAIDE), and one of Australia's leading experts on artificial intelligence. Professor Paterson will share insights into the latest developments in AI and the decisions that governments, institutions and communities will need to make as this technology continues to evolve.
This town hall will provide an opportunity for members of the Kooyong community to learn more about AI, discuss its potential impacts, and explore how we can navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead together.
Following a moderated discussion, attendees will be able to ask Professor Paterson questions about the future of AI and what it could mean for our lives, workplaces and communities.
