Almost everyone I chat to is having to make hard choices about what they can buy and what they have to miss out on. It's tough, and I haven't yet heard any good answers from the politicians in Canberra.
You'd be stunned if you saw some of the things that go on in that place. I'm trying to change that culture. I want politicians to stop thinking just about polls and their own popularity, and instead just get together to make pragmatic decisions that will help improve people's lives.
As part of that, I'm putting community at the heart of politics again. It's important to me that I'm out in the community listening to what matters to you.
To keep that up, I'm hosting an online forum on Cost of Living from 7:30-9:00pm on Monday, 28 August. I want to hear your ideas, and understand how rising prices are affecting you. The Zoom will be a collaborative workshop that will help inform how I can represent Kooyong in Canberra.
Be sure to RSVP. See you then.
