Next week the 47th Parliament will hold its first sitting and I will have the honour of being sworn in as your new Member for Kooyong.
Over the past few weeks, we have been making the transition from campaign mode to beginning my work as the Independent MP for Kooyong.
It’s official! On Thursday morning, Monique attended the AEC office for the Declaration of the Polls.
We won!
A few hours ago, Monique received a phone call from Josh Frydenberg, to congratulate her on becoming the next Federal Member for Kooyong.

This morning I had a neighbour come to see me at prepoll voting in tears. Her husband has COVID, and has just realised that he won’t be able to vote on Saturday.
