We are fortunate to live in a great democracy. But faith in democracy depends on politicians and public servants being honest, transparent, responsive and accountable.
With the passing of the National Anti-Corruption Commission Act in 2022, my priorities now are securing:
- Passage of my ‘Lobbying (Improving Government Honesty and Trust)’ bill
- Reform of political campaign funding to ensure transparency of donations and a level playing field for all candidates
- Truth in political and election advertising
- Stronger protections for whistleblowers
As an Independent, I am committed to being responsive and accountable to my constituents through:
- Town Hall meetings
- Community Forums
- Pop-up offices across the electorate
- Surveys
- Constituent meetings and correspondence
